The assault resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
